Normal French Hand Polish
Same as the mini manicure above, but add French polish. You can go for classic white tips on a natural base, or for the more adventurous why not make your own colour combination (eg. black polish with silver tips?)
A French manicure is a classic and elegant style that features natural-looking nails with white tips. Here’s how to do a Normal French Hand Polish:
Remove any old nail polish with a non-acetone nail polish remover.
Soak your hands in warm, soapy water for a few minutes to soften the cuticles.
Use a cuticle pusher or an orangewood stick to gently push back the cuticles.
Trim and shape your nails with a nail clipper and nail file. File your nails in one direction to prevent splitting.
Apply a cuticle oil or cream to moisturize and protect the cuticles.
Use a buffer to smooth the surface of your nails and remove any ridges.
Apply a clear base coat to your nails to prevent staining and help your nail polish last longer.
Apply white nail polish to the tips of your nails. You can use a French manicure kit or guide strips to help you apply the white polish evenly.
Once the white polish has dried, apply a sheer pink or nude polish to the rest of your nails. You can apply two coats if needed.
Finish with a topcoat to add shine and protect your nail polish from chipping.
After your nail polish has dried, apply a hand cream to keep your hands moisturized and soft.
And that’s it! With these simple steps, you can give yourself a classic French hand polish at home and have beautifully groomed hands in no time.
